I know this is quite an old post but this is exactly what I'm wondering. I was brought up by my paternal Grandparents who both died from MND, my Grandad in 1989 and my Grandma in 1994. It was unheard of for both Husband and Wife to have it. Forward to 2010 when I was 28 and I had gradual onset of issues, so many different symptoms and after a lengthy battle and many referrals I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 2014. I've read quite a lot of articles since then and in the back of my mind I wonder if in some way my diagnoses is in any way linked to their MND? I have tried to broach the issue with both my rheumatologist and neurologist but don't get any further. My rheumatoligist is adamant that my fibromyalgia is curable but I have only seen a worsening in my symptoms despite doing everything recommended to me, I am also taking back up swimming which has been advised following recent hydrotherapy sessions but I just feel in mind, body and soul trapped :(

I too was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2015, though I was told we can stabilise it but it will always be there, would love to hear any doc/specialist who says it’s curable I.e, yours believes so?
