Try an ice pack or alternate between ice and a heat pack? My shoulders are often bad and I also find tiger balm brilliant

I use a heat pack my shoulder and neck are almost constantly in spasm very sore and burning with pins and needles running Down both arms into my hands.

I'd agree with the heat packs on it. I'd also say don't be frightened to move it. Unless you suspect you've broken something then I find the longer I keep still the worse it gets.

Gritting my teeth and doing a gentle stretch often releases the spasm - but warming up the muscle first helps

i get this very often i try to keep moving even tho its such an intense pain i sometimes get pains and needles (strong) ones i try to rub my arm softly at times this didn't work i was told on gp call backs to take an extra one of my tabs which dulled i tried to work it hard once to get it motivated i advise you do not do this as made it so bad couldn't eat move my arm. i hope it eases. x

When my neck plays up I get shoulder pain and 'clicking' and pain down my arm into my hands with pins and needles. I find gentle excercise with slow movements, plenty of rest NO Housework (especially hoovering) and a heat pack works for me...most of the time...
